Transport: how to get to the ENST Bretagne

By plane

Brest airport is located 10km to the north east of Brest. There are numerous daily direct flights to and from Paris, Lyon and other French cities and daily flights to the UK (scheduled and budget).

By train

Brest is served by the French TGV with several direct links to Paris Montparnasse every day and links to Lyon and Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport via Rennes. The railway station is located in the town centre, Click here for full information about French (SNCF) railway services to Brest.

By car

There are two main highways leading to Brest. The first (RN12/E50) crosses northern Brittany, going through Rennes and Saint-Brieuc. The second (RN165/E60) links up with Nantes, going through Quimper and Vannes. An access map is available below - follow signs to "Technopole - site de la pointe du Diable".

Access to the symposium site

The symposium site, ENST Bretagne, is on the Technopôle in Plouzané in the west of Brest.

From the airport

A shuttle service links Brest Bretagne airport and Brest city centre several times a day. It stops at Saint Luc, Place de la Liberté (close to the tourist office) and the railway station. The journey takes around 15 minutes. Tickets can be purchased on the bus. From Place de la Liberté take the number 28 bus to get to the ENST Bretagne campus. Get off at the "La Pérouse" stop (around 20/30 min).

As a more expensive but faster alternative there is a taxi rank directly at the airport. Journey time to the ENST is about 25 minutes, The cost is approximately 30€.

For grouped arrivals and departures we may be able to arrange a pickup - more details will be given nearer to the Summer School dates.

From the railway station

Directly in front of the main station exit take bus N°5 to the Place de la liberté (about 3 minutes) there change to the bus line number 28 to the "La Pérouse" stop just in front of the ENST Bretagne (trip roughly 20-30 min). A (large) complete map of the bus lines is available here.

Taxis are avalaible in front of the train station. The drive to the ENST Bretagne takes about 20 minutes and costs roughly 20€.
